A space shaped by resistance, care, and the politics of dreaming. Rooted in Black feminist thought, ecological design, and ancestral knowledge, Wildseed becomes both a refuge and a platform — a site where protest lives, where stories are re-authored, and where healing is built into the architecture itself. Drawing on the histories and research of maroonage, vernacular African forms, and decolonial theory, the project reimagines community infrastructure as a living, breathing form of liberation. From sensory thresholds to food sovereignty, Wildseed proposes a future shaped by land, difference, and collective care.
“The architecture of Wildseed, therefore, extends the space of protest into something permanent and continuous. Instead of fighting for home, fighting for a place in the world, Wildseed becomes a home for the fight, a home to continuously return to and refuel as the fight goes on.”
